This gold-tone sweater guard begins with a basic  ¼”  x  1¼” gold-tone rectangle bar that holds the guard clip. Each bar is accented with a small, textured, gold-tone seashell. The clips are connected by a 5” gold and pearl chain. The entire sweater guard measures approximately 8” and is in excellent vintage condition. These guards were made to hold your sweater in place when it is resting across your shoulders.  They are still a great accessory today.
